Cause of the problem: Unbalanced loads, loose components, or an uneven surface can cause excessive noise or vibration.

Troubleshooting: Make sure to evenly distribute the clothes inside the drum for balanced loads. Check if any components, such as the agitator or drum, are loose and tighten them if necessary. Ensure that the washing machine is placed on a stable and level surface to minimize vibrations.

3. Not Draining Properly

4. Foul Odor

Description: There is a persistent foul odor coming from the washing machine.

Cause of the problem: A buildup of mold, mildew, or bacteria in the drum or detergent dispenser can cause unpleasant odors.

Troubleshooting: Run a hot water cycle with vinegar to remove any mold or mildew buildup. Regularly clean the detergent dispenser to prevent the growth of bacteria. Leave the washing machine door open between cycles to allow for air circulation and prevent moisture buildup.

5. Not Spinning Properly

Description: The washing machine is not spinning or spinning unevenly during the wash cycle.

Cause of the problem: Unbalanced loads, a faulty motor, or a malfunctioning drive belt can cause issues with spinning.

Troubleshooting: Ensure that the clothes are evenly distributed inside the drum for balanced loads. If the motor is faulty, it may need to be replaced. Inspect the drive belt for any damage or wear and replace it if necessary.

6. Error Codes Displayed

Description: The washing machine displays error codes on the control panel.

Electrolux ELFW7537AW User Reviews

Negative reviews of Electrolux ELFW7537AW users

  • Constantly breaking

I bought this washing machine on the recommendation of the salesperson at Grand Appliance and all of the reviews. If I would have dug further I would have found that this washing machine is known to have the bearings constantly breaking. I have had this washing machine for just over 2 years and already had the bearings and tub replaced in December 2022. It is May 2023 and the bearing are breaking again in only 5 months from moderate use. It is only me and my husband and I am careful to not overload it with too heavy of items. I called again to have this service and you think a reputable company would realize that this is a lemon and replace the entire unit. The cost of parts and labor is more than the machine is worth. Luckily, we have…

  • Water fills on its own

We have had the machine for three years now. I understand that is out of warranty time now but it’s such a shame that all of my Electrolux stuff is starting to fail at this point from a brand new home.

Positive user reviews of Electrolux ELFW7537AW

  • Washer delivered. Best Day Ever

My faithful 20+year old front loader had to retire from service. It was a sad day when this happened. But then the new washer was delivered. I never thought the new washer would make my day but it did and it continues to do so. I love this washer, from the ease of use, the pre-set cycles, the ability to customize those cycles and most of all, that great big door! And the interior light is awesome.

    Review by Have Five Cats

  • Easy to operate, cleans well

I didn’t research the potential mold issue before I bought this front-loading machine. I read the user manual and am trying to follow recommendations. I am pleased so far but I wipe down the door, seal, and soap drawer each time I use it, and then leave both doors ajar. That’s a lot of work, thus a 4-star rating instead of 5.
